Old McAnita had a Farm.....

Saturday was a big day, we got 10 baby chickens and 7 baby lambs. The chickens I got to get fresh eggs. The Lambs are my Dads. (surprised ??) They are so cute !! We have to bottle feed them 3 times a day and its a lot of work. There have been a lot of visitors coming to see the new additions.

So this morning I was working out and heard some commotion in the chicks house. So I called for Liz & Shelby. I thought that Lucky (the dog) was locked up in the Bathroom. Anyways Shelby came down and I told her to check on the chicks. Next I heard a HORRIFYING scream from Shelby. Yes, Lucky killed 3 of the chickens this morning. Shelby is traumatized for life. She cried for at least an hour. Grandpa told her that they went to Heaven and she cried harder. She finally stopped crying when I told her that she could take one of the Baby Lambs for Show & Tell. So we put a Green Bow in the "runt's" hair for St. Pattricks Day and took her to show & tell. The class loved it !!

Disney on Ice

Dave gave Shelby & I Tickets to Disney on Ice Princess. It was a blast !! We sat on the 6th row and could see everything so good. I have more pictures on my phone, I'll post them soon.

So she got big tears in her eyes and walked over to me and told me that I am the very best mom in the world. Boy if that doesn't bring tears to your eyes then nothing will. She is the sweetest thing. I asked her why she was crying and she said "because I am so happy to have the best mom"

Ice Skating for FHE

We went Ice Skating last night for Family Home Evening. We went with my friend Christie and 3 of her girls. We had fun, but the best part was sitting on the bench eating Nachos. Shaylee was in the stroller until they told us to get the stroller off the ice. So I put skates on Shaylee and she did very good. I didn't think she would be able to walk with them on. But you know how she is, she didn't want ANY help. So to my surprise she was very good. She only fell a few times. Shelby did very good as well. She is a natural and I think I'm going to put her in lessons at some point.

Fun in Ferron !! Redneck Style !!

We Went to Ferron This past Weekend for Angela & Eli's baby Samuels blessing. We had sleepover at Grandma & Grandpa's House. The girls always love it there. One, because Ringo is there and 2 because the go-cart is there. (and of course Gram & Gramp) Shelby also rode the go-cart but I got her on video instead of my still camera.

Is it Summer Time Yet ??

Shaylee got out of the bath this morning and went to dress herself like she does every day. She came out in her swimsuit and sunglasses. I said "Shaylee, what are you doing" she replies "Mom I want to be fabulous, like High School Musical"

Then a few minutes later she went outside and asked me to fill the swimming pool with water so she could go swimming. What a character !!!

Future Flash Dancers ?

My Cousin Nichole is a Utah Flash Dancer and she asked Shelby and my niece Lindsay to dance with her last Friday Night. They both loved it and Shelby now thinks she's famous.

Liz thinks she has found true love. Ben Armbreuster is 27 and lives in Saratoga Springs. He grew up in Orem which should make mom happy.

New Member of our Family

Welcome Lucky !! About a month ago, we got a new dog. She is a Jack Russell Terrier and is really a good dog. She plays good when it's time to play, and she is calm when it's time to be calm. Her previous owner had cancer and had to get rid of her. She is 6 years old ( just like Shelby and Vegas) She is a great guard dog, whenever anyone is outside the house she barks. The girls love her and she keeps Shaylee company during the day when she usually gets bored by herself.

Happy Birthday Shaylee

Shaylee turned 3 today. I can't believe it !! She acts like she's 15. She has been a true joy in my life and I can't imagine not having her around. She has enough spunk for all 3 of us for sure. Today she woke up early and crawled in bed with me. Shelby and I sang happy birthday to her and from then on she was happy as a lark. We ate her favorite breakfast (crepes with strawberries and cream) then we went to church. She is so funny!! She asked if we could go to church again tomorrow. She loves Church !! Especially because we get to sit up front behind the bishop every week. She wanders around like she owns the place. Today while I was leading the music she stood up on the seat next to where I was leading (but behind me so I couldn't see) and she started leading as well. The whole ward was laughing!!

Shaylee I love you honey :) you bring so much fun and laughter to our home. You are such a sweet little thing with a whole lot of spice. Happpy 3rd Birthday.
