I have 6 kids over here right now, and I read this email I got from a friend. I am so grateful to be a mom. And I am thankful that my kids have been blessed with parents who care about them. Of the kids I have here, they have all been effected by one or all of the following trials. Divorce, Parents with Drug Problems, Living with Grandparents, and many others.
May we all remember that what we do has a HUGE impact on our children. I need this advice more than anyone. So thank you Jen... It's a great reminder.
WHEN YOU THOUGHT I WASN'T LOOKING
A message every adult should read because children are watching you and doing as you do, not as you say.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you hang my first painting on the refrigerator, and I immediatelywanted to paint another one.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you feed a stray cat, and I learned that it was good to be kind to animals.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you make my favorite cake for me, and I learned that the little things can be the special things in life.
When you thought I wasn't looking I heard you say a prayer, and I knew that there is a God I could always talk to, and I learned to trust in Him.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you make a meal and take it to a friend who was sick, and I learned that we all have to help take care of each other.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you give of your time and money to help people who had nothing, and I learned that those who have something should give to those who don't.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you take care of our house and everyone in it, and I learned we have to take care of what we are given.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw how you handled your responsibilities, even when you didn't feel good, and I learned that I would have to be responsible when I grow up.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw tears come from your eyes, and I learned that sometimes things hurt, but it's all right to cry.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw that you cared, and I wanted to be everything that I could be.
When you thought I wasn't looking I learned most of life's lessons that I need to know to be a good and productive person when I grow up.
When you thought I wasn't looking I looked at you and wanted to say,'Thanks for all the things I saw when you thought I wasn't looking.'

Done with the Diet !!
So I have been on a horrible no Iodine diet for the past few weeks (not of my own free will, it was Doctor ordered). I could eat anything I wanted... as long as there is no Salt, Dairy, Eggs, or Red Dye #3. What can I eat you ask?? Friut, Veggies, 5 oz of meat (with nothing on it) and anything home made that doesn't contain any of the ingredients listed above. It has been really hard. But I didn't cheat once. I took the Radiation pill on Friday then went to Vegas with the Ault Family to see Donny & Marie. The concert was awesome, but I still say that Marie is a much better performer than Donny. She was amazing !! I hope I look that good when I'm her age with 8 kids......lol I better get working if I'm going to have 8 kids ;) Anyways we went to eat at Cheesecake Factory and the awesome waiter brought me the best meal I had in weeks. Steak, and Green Beans with nothing on them. It was fabulous ! Then to top the night off, I stood next to the waiter and he made me feel tall !! What a great night !
Then when I got home I did the thyroid scan on Monday and on Tuesday my (hot and single) Doctor called me and told me that scan was normal. (wow that's a first for me...... being called normal) So my first meal was a salad from Bajio and ice cream from Cold Stone. So my Thyroid is Cancer Free !! Here is a picture of the salad I ate !! It was soooo good, but it gave me bad heartburn because I haven't eaten anything like that for a while.
Things I missed......... Cheese, Milk, Olives, and Ice Cream !!! But I really did appreciate the diet because I found a lot of foods that are very healthy that I really like. So I am going to start eating healthy. Yeah For Me !! Oh yes, I also got a fresh peach shake from Taco Amigo today. It was the last day, so it was perfect timing ! Thanks Andrea for the last day heads up ;)

Elder Ault (the 4th)
My youngest brother Ethan is now in the MTC.....( well he has been there for a few weeks now) he will be an AMAZING missionary. He loves the Gospel more than life and he is so passionate about it. He will be leaving the USA and going to Switzerland on November 11th. Here are a few pictures of the day he left. (along with an awesome picture taken by Nicole )
The Newbie and the Oldies :)
Ethan with the girls at IHOP before the MTC
This was not posed at all...... it was so funny how it turned out. He just wasn't paying attention to Tyler taking the picture.

The First Day Of School
Today was the first day of school for both of my girls. Shelby is 7 and is starting 2nd grade, and Shaylee is 3 and starting "Pretty School" They were both so excited !! Shaylee thinks she's a grown up now, she asked me for a cell phone on the way to school. She said that she is big enough now. Sadly her Dad agreed with her and is now buying her one for her 4th birthday. (Yes a real cell phone)
Shaylee is going to Learning Dynamics in Orem and has Mrs. Shannon for a teacher. Shaylee told me that "that was a really fun class time Mom" And she was so excited because she got to play with Purple Playdough. She also got to take her doll "Kit" today for show-n-tell so she was so happy about that. Andrea went with me to pick her up today and took her a Caramel Apple. But Shaylee had to sing the song "Apple Bottom Jeans" to get it. (she was wearing her Apple Bottom Jeans outfit today)
Shelby has Mrs. Mecham at Mt. Loafer Elementary and said that all they did today was go over all the rules. When we went to meet the teacher yesterday, the teacher asked her what her name is. When she told her Shelby, the teacher said I've been waiting to meet you Shelby. All the kids have been so excited to be in your class so you must be very popular.
Shelby is really nice to all the kids she is around. Everyone is her friend when she is around. Ask me about her swearing at the class bully last year. Make sure she isn't around, she is really embarassed about it. But it is soooo cute !!!
Shelby always does the "I love you" sign when she leaves for school. Isn't she so sweet !!

My Dad Has a Faux Hawk
My Dad decided to grow facial hair. We told him that if he keeps the facial hair for the family picture on Saturday that we (his daughters) get to style his hair. So we will see who wins..... I think the Faux Hawk looks really good on him !!! And sorry to say sisters of mine.... but 2 of my friends thinks he looks younger. One friend thought he was a date of mine !!!! How funny is that ?

Mystery Spider
Shelby found this spider right in front of our front door the other day. It was dead..... but none the less it's scary. Does anyone know what kind of spider it is ?? It looks kind of like a baby Triancula to me??

Golf Tournament
I was invited to play in the Coldwell Banker Golf Tournament last Friday. I was on a team with my Broker... Kathleen Koyle, my one and only title officer from Equity Title... Angela Penrod, and a fellow agent... Bryce Mitchell. We had a ton of fun, I made shirts for the girls that said "Way Above Par" and let me tell you, our score was just that ;) We golfed at Old Mill Golf Course in Salt Lake.

The Wizard of Oz
There is an ongoing joke that I am Dorthy from the Wizard of Oz. I first...found a man with no heart, then...a different one with no brain, and last but not least... one with no courage...... I hope no one gets offended by this :) We have had many many laughs about this topic.
Now I am looking for the Wizard....... hopefully that will pan out for me. If not, we will have one more thing to laugh about. He will probably be the one who puts on a good show but is too good to be true in the end...... maybe I don't want to meet the Wizard ????

Happy 30th to me !!
Today is my 30th birthday...... I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. One minute I'm ok with it, and the next I'm pissed !! However I only cried once today, so I think that's pretty good.

The 3.........ex's ;) Not to be confused with Stooges
OK....... Danny, Dave, and Nate all at my house at the same time..... How did I pull that off.. you ask ?? Dave had Shaylee... so he brought her to the party, Danny brought his step-kids to the party and Nate brought his kids to the party. It really was quite a sight. We were looking for the camera to take a picture and Nate walked in.... so Andrea somehow convinced him to go back out and pose for the picture of the ex's. ( that's why he is smiling in the second picture)... Thanks for being such a good sport Nate ;)

Shelby's Birthday Party
Today we had a Birthday Party for Shelby's 7th Birthday. We had 2 water-slides (thanks to Dave) and water balloons. There were about 25 kids and 9 adults. We had lunch, and the kids played in the water.
Happy Birthday Shelby :)
